Paulino","Type":1,"Details":"https://malegislature.gov/api/GeneralCourts/194/LegislativeMembers/FEP1","ResponseDate":"2026-03-17T15:26:08.247"},"Category":null,"Action":"Consolidated","RollCall":[],"Title":"Merrimack Valley Apprenticeship Hub and Early College Workforce Pipeline","Branch":"House","RedraftNumber":null,"IsFurther":false,"GeneralCourtNumber":194,"Text":"Mr. Paulino of Methuen moves to amend the bill  in section 2, in item 1596-2613, by adding the following:-\r\n“provided further, that not less than $2,500,000 shall be expended for a Merrimack Valley Apprenticeship Hub and Early College Workforce Pipeline pilot program at Northern Essex Community College to support workforce training and apprenticeship pathways for youth and adult participants; provided further, that said program shall prepare participants to meet labor market demands and to qualify for and pass entrance examinations for registered apprenticeship programs, including union-sponsored programs; provided further, that the program shall be implemented in partnership with labor unions and registered apprenticeship sponsors; provided further, that the program shall prioritize residents of gateway cities, including Lawrence and Methuen; provided further, that funds may be expended for program development, instruction, stipends, equipment and partnerships with employers, labor unions and workforce boards; provided further, that Northern Essex Community College shall administer said program, in coordination with the department of higher education and the executive office of labor and workforce development; and provided further, that not later than March 1, 2027, Northern Essex Community College shall report to the house and senate committees on ways and means on program participation and employment outcomes”\r\n\r\n"}
