(a) The commission shall provide to any active or retired employee of the commonwealth who is insured under the group insurance commission reimbursement for glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist prescriptions that are fulfilled directly by the manufacturer; provided, that the medication was prescribed by a licensed physician. To obtain reimbursement under this section, the commission may require submission of proof of the prescription and proof of payment to the manufacturer.\r\n(b) The commission may set a deductible for medications reimbursed pursuant to this section and such deductible shall be subtracted from the price paid to the manufacturer before reimbursement. The rate of reimbursement pursuant to this section shall not exceed the commission's average in-network pharmacy benefit rate.\r\n"}
