Section 1 of Chapter 176J of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2024 Official Edition, is   hereby amended by striking the period following the word “plans” in line XXX and inserting in place there of the following-\r\n;provided, however, that accident only, hospital indemnity insurance policies, disability income insurance, and specified disease insurance as defined herein, may also offer “health screening benefits”, as defined in this Section One.\r\n\r\nSECTION XX. Said Section 1 of Chapter 176J of the General Laws, as so appearing, is further amended by adding the following definition:\r\n\r\n“Health Screening Benefits”, health screening tests performed as a result of preventive care, including tests and diagnostic procedures, such as annual preventive care and health screening, including laboratory services, x-ray services and similar services, ordered in connection with routine examinations.\r\n\r\nSECTION XXX. Section 1 of Chapter 176M of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2024 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking the period following the words “chapter 176K” in line XXX and inserting in place thereof the following -\r\n;provided, however, that accident only, hospital indemnity insurance policies, disability income insurance, and specified disease insurance as defined herein, may also offer “health screening benefits”, as defined in this Section One.\r\n\r\nSECTION XXXX.
