Section 26 of chapter 101 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2024 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 5 and 6, the words “one year” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- 5 years; provided, that the certificate required to be signed by the chief of police of the city or town in which the applicant resides pursuant to section 22, shall continue to be furnished by the applicant to the deputy director on an annual basis'.\r\n"}
