Eldridge and Payano move that the proposed new text be amended in section 2A, by striking out, in lines 39 to 42, inclusive, the words “may work with resettlement agencies to coordinate the provision of services to families and pregnant women in temporary respite centers and shall continue to facilitate the provision of services to said families and pregnant women” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “shall work with resettlement agencies to coordinate the provision of services to immigrant and refugee families and pregnant women in temporary respite centers; provided further, that the executive office shall continue to facilitate the provision of services to families and pregnant women in temporary respite centers”;\r\nand in section 6 by inserting after the word “waitlist”, in line 169, the following words:- “; and provided further, that an applicant on said waitlist shall be eligible for immediate placement in a temporary respite site subject to appropriation, rules, regulations and availability”;\r\nand by inserting after section 5 the following section:-\r\n“SECTION 5A. Item 1599-1213 of section 2A of said chapter 88 is hereby amended by inserting after the word “equity” the following words:- ; provided further, that a portion of such funds shall be expended to rapidly rehouse families residing in temporary respite sites into permanent, stable housing”.\r\n"}
