Kilcoyne","Type":1,"Details":"https://malegislature.gov/api/GeneralCourts/194/LegislativeMembers/M_K1","ResponseDate":"2026-06-03T16:55:11.647"},"Category":null,"Action":"Consolidated","RollCall":[],"Title":"Consumer Protection","Branch":"House","RedraftNumber":null,"IsFurther":false,"GeneralCourtNumber":194,"Text":"Ms. Kilcoyne of Clinton moves to amend the bill by striking the text in lines 419- 421 and inserting in place thereof the following:-  \r\n“(3) not collect, process, or transfer sensitive data concerning a consumer except when such collection, processing, or transfer is strictly necessary to provide or maintain a specific product or service requested by the consumer to whom the sensitive data pertains”,\r\nand further, by striking the following words after “(A)” in line 433 through “(B)” in line 436:\r\n“precise geolocation data of any individual or consumer collected or processed within the commonwealth, regardless of the residency of the individual or consumer; provided, that precise geolocation data shall not be sold even with the affirmative consent of an individual or consumer; or (B)”\r\nand further, by striking the following words after “sensitive data” in line 436 through “COPPA” in line 439:\r\n“other than precise geolocation data without obtaining the consumer’s affirmative consent; and provided further, that in the case of the collection or processing of personal data concerning a known child, personal data shall be collected and processed in accordance with COPPA”\r\n"}
