Chapter 15A of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 5B the following section:-\r\nSection 5C. (a) Notwithstanding section 5, private nonprofit institutions of higher education in the commonwealth with a federal minority serving institution designation shall be part of the community college segment established in section 5 for purposes of programs offered by the department, including, but not limited to, the supporting urgent community college equity through student success program and the community college program offered pursuant to section 5B.\r\n(b) The department may promulgate regulations for implementation of this section.\r\n"}
