Rodrigues","Type":1,"Details":"https://malegislature.gov/api/GeneralCourts/194/LegislativeMembers/MJR0","ResponseDate":"2026-07-23T23:40:11.89"},"Category":null,"Action":"Adopted","RollCall":[],"Title":"SWM Amendment","Branch":"Senate","RedraftNumber":2,"IsFurther":false,"GeneralCourtNumber":194,"Text":"Mr. Rodrigues moves that the proposed new text be amended in section 3A, in item 7002-8087, by adding the following words:- “; provided further, that not less than $12,000,000 shall be expended to the city of Framingham to support access to the Regional Justice Center and downtown revitalization, which shall include funding for the design, purchase, construction or rehabilitation of a downtown parking garage; provided further, that not less than $250,000 shall be expended to the town of Natick for the development and construction of a multi-use path along state highway route 135 connecting to the West Natick commuter rail station; provided further, that not less than $2,500,000 shall be expended to the city of Haverhill for upgrades to sewer treatment infrastructure; provided further, that not less than $2,500,000 shall be expended to the city of Haverhill to assist recovery efforts of the mill fire of April and May 2026; provided further, that not less than $500,000 shall be expended to Arc Landing Boston, Inc. to support a catalyst fund to assist in the  growth of the health care industry and increase access to health care; provided further, that not less than $1,000,000 shall be expended to the city of Fall River for economic development and revitalization efforts in the Flint neighborhood and Pleasant street corridor of the city; provided further, that not less than $5,000,000 shall be expended for the town of Lakeville for the redevelopment of the site of the former Lakeville state hospital; provided further, that not less than $1,000,000 shall be expended to the town of Swansea for the construction and installation of sewage lines\"; \r\nand in said section 2, in said item 7002-8087, by striking out the figure “$100,000” and  inserting in place thereof the following figure:- “$221,983,000”.\r\nin section 20, by striking out, in line 300, the first time it appears, the word \"Said\" and inserting in place thereof the following words:- \"Subsection (e) of said\"; and\r\nby inserting after section 82 the following section:-\r\n\t\tSection 82A. Section 38UU of chapter 63 is hereby repealed.”; and\r\n\r\nby striking out section 137; and\r\nby inserting after section 138 the following section:-\r\n“SECTION 138A. Item 1599-6080 of section 2A of chapter 268 of the acts of 2022 is hereby amended by adding the following words:- “and such funds shall be made available until June 30, 2028”; and\r\nby inserting after section 141 the following section:-\r\n\t“SECTION 141A. Section 316 of chapter 238 of the acts of 2024 is hereby repealed.”; and\r\nin section 156, by striking out, in line 1989, the words “40, 41, and 48” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “41, 42, and 49”; and\r\nby striking out section 163; and\r\nby inserting after section 164 the following  section:-\r\n“SECTION 164A. Section 82A shall take effect on January 1, 2033.”.\r\n"}
