Feeney and Moore, Ms. Lovely and Mr. Tarr move that the proposed new text be amended  in section 3A, by inserting before item 7002-8046 the following item:- \r\n“MASSACHUSETTS CULTURAL COUNCIL\r\n0640-0309    For a capital grant program to be administered by the Massachusetts cultural council to support individuals, businesses, nonprofit organizations, community groups and other eligible applicants as determined by the council  who are engaged in public arts, performance, cultural and community programming that stimulates downtown areas, commercial areas, cultural districts, gathering places and nightlife destinations and contributes to the cultural and economic vitality of cities and towns; provided, that the council may award grants to cities and towns which intend to contract with individuals, businesses, nonprofit organizations, community groups and other eligible entities for projects which support art, performance, cultural and community programming in downtown areas, commercial areas, cultural districts. gathering places and nightlife destinations ............................. $1,000,000”.\r\n"}
