Section 87B of chapter 276 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2024 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking, in line 10, the words:\r\n“\"Eligible offender”, an offender”, and inserting in place thereof the following words:- ““Eligible person”, a person whose disposition or sentence includes a minimum of 1 year of post-disposition probation supervision, including a person”;\r\nBy striking the words: “eligible offender”, and inserting in place thereof the words:- “eligible person”;\r\nand further by striking the words: “2 years”, and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “1 year”;\r\nBy striking the words:- “1 year”, and inserting in place thereof the following words:- “1 month”;\r\nBy inserting, in line 39, after the words: “correctional institution”, the following words:- “or commits the eligible person to the custody of the department of youth services”;\r\nBy striking, in line 41, the words: “eligible offender’s”, and inserting in place therefore the following words:- “eligible person’s”; and\r\nBy inserting, in line 46, after the word: “sentencing”, the following words:- “or disposition”.\r\n"}
