Section 22: Pleading the general issue; evidence

Section 22. In real and mixed actions in the land court which are not governed by the Massachusetts Rules of Civil Procedure, the defendant may plead the general issue and may give in evidence thereunder all matters which he might formerly have pleaded in bar.
