AN ACT DESIGNATING A CERTAIN AREA IN THE DORCHESTER SECTION OF THE CITY OF BOSTON IN MEMORY OF TROOPER MARK S. CHARBONNIER AND DEPUTY SHERIFF SGT. RICHARD "RICKY" DEVER

     Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
     The department of conservation and recreation shall designate a certain area along the Neponset river, in the Dorchester section of the city of Boston, in the memory of trooper Mark S. Charbonnier and deputy sheriff sgt. Richard “Ricky” Dever. The area shall be located at the Neponset II Park, Pope John Paul II Park or the surrounding area and shall be under the supervision of the department. The department shall consult with the Dever and Charbonnier families to design, erect and maintain a suitable marker that may include, but is not limited to, an overlook, bench, flagpole, kiosk or memorial stone.
