AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF WAKEFIELD TO EXCHANGE A CERTAIN PARCEL OF LAND.

     Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:
     SECTION 1. (a) Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary but subject to paragraphs (a), (b) and (g) of section 16 of chapter 30B of the General Laws, the town of Wakefield may convey the real property identified on the assessors’ maps as parcel 21-052-85A, consisting of 1.31 acres, more or less, to Elias Anjim or Elias Anjim’s nominee.
     (b)  As consideration for the conveyance authorized in subsection (a), the town of Wakefield may accept from Elias Anjim or persons or entities related to or associated with Elias Anjim including, but not limited to, John E. Anjim, the fee interest in the real property identified on the assessors’ maps as parcels 33-107-W223A+ and 33-185-24A consisting of 1.53 acres, more or less, and 2.653 acres, more or less, respectively; provided, however, that the parcels shall be held by the conservation commission of the town of Wakefield as conservation land pursuant to section 8C of chapter 40 of the General Laws; and provided further, that no conveyances under this act shall be completed until a certificate of redemption for parcel 33-185-24A has been recorded in the Middlesex south district registry of deeds.
     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
