Amendment S.2387 191st (2019 - 2020)

Senate, October 28, 2019 -- The committee on Senate Ways and Means to whom was referred the House Bill to support improved financial stability in higher education (House, No. 4099); reports, recommending that the same ought to pass with an amendment striking out all after the enacting clause and inserting in place thereof the text of Senate document numbered 2387; and by inserting before the enacting clause the following emergency preamble:- "Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purposes, which are to support improved financial stability in higher education and to make certain changes in law, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience."
