AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SICK LEAVE BANK FOR MERIDYTH L. REITH, AN EMPLOYEE OF THE STATE FIRE MARSHAL.

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to immediately establish a sick leave bank for a certain employee of the state Fire Marshal, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for immediate preservation of the public convenience.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same as follows:

Notwithstanding any general or special law or rule or regulation to the contrary, the state fire marshal shall establish a sick leave bank for Meridyth L. Reith, an employee of the state fire marshal. Any employee of the state fire marshal may voluntarily contribute 1 or more sick, personal or vacation days to the sick leave bank for use by Meridyth L. Reith. Whenever Meridyth L. Reith terminates employment with the state fire marshal or requests to dissolve the sick leave bank, the balance of the sick leave time shall be transferred to the extended illness leave bank.

Approved January 3, 2007.
