AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF MEDFORD TO UTILIZE SURPLUS FUNDS FROM ITS WATER ENTERPRISE ACCOUNT AND FOR RELIEF FROM CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF G.L. c 44 § 33B

By Messrs. Donato of Medford and Sciortino of Medford, a petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 3529) of Paul J. Donato, Patricia D. Jehlen and Carl M. Sciortino, Jr. (with the approval of the mayor and city council) that the city of Medford be authorized to transfer certain funds from the water enterprise account of said city. Municipalities and Regional Government. [Local Approval Received.]

Emergency Preamble

Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to provide a method of budgetary assistance to the City of Medford in meeting its operating expenses during a time of significant fiscal limitations without impeding the purposes of its Water Enterprise Account, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
