An Act relative to deeds excise receipts
By Mr. Calter of Kingston, a petition (accompanied by bill, House, No. 2516) of Thomas J. Calter and others for legislation to authorize the counties of Bristol, Dukes, Nantucket, Norfolk and Plymouth to retain a portion of the excise tax on deeds. Revenue.
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to equitably allocate Deeds Excise revenue, therefore, it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
