Senate, July 20, 2020 -- The committee on Senate Ways and Means to whom was referred the Senate Bill to address challenges faced by restaurants and other establishments due to COVID-19 (Senate, No. 2730),- reports, recommending that the same ought to pass with an amendment substituting a new draft with the same title (Senate, No. 2830).

Emergency Preamble
Whereas, The deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to forthwith authorize cities and towns to allow outdoor alcohol service, therefore it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.
