Amendment S.3150 192nd (2021 - 2022)

Senate, December 12, 2022 -- The committee on Ways and Means, to whom was referred House Bill relative to the Millicent Library in the town of Fairhaven (House, No. 5006),- reports, recommending that the same ought to pass with an amendment striking out all after the enacting clause and inserting in place thereof the text of Senate document numbered 3150; and by inserting before the enacting clause the following emergency preamble:- “Whereas, the deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose, which is to transfer forthwith funds held in a trust by the state treasurer for the benefit of the public library in the town of Fairhaven, therefore, it is hereby declared to be an emergency law, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public convenience.”.
