This bill would require the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) to provide certain benefits to persons living in MA who are lawfully admitted for permanent residence or are otherwise permanently residing in the United States under color of law. The benefits would be required to be paid at the same level of cash assistance and related benefits to children, pregnant women and caretaker adults who meet the DTA eligibility requirements except for the requirements related to immigration status or citizenship as well as nutritional assistance benefits to persons who meet the eligibility requirements of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) except for the program requirements related to immigration status or citizenship.
