This bill makes workplace bullying illegal, regardless of an employee’s protected class status. It requires employers to implement preventative measures, including acknowledging and responding to complaints, conducting fair investigations, maintaining records, creating anti-bullying policies, and training employees in these policies. It also bans retaliation, forced mediation, and non-disclosure agreements related to bullying complaints. Victims can sue for damages and employers can face fines for failing to comply.
