Bill Information

Michael O. Moore
Status:
Referred to Senate Committee on Ways and Means
These bills would create robust apprenticeship programs at all general contractors and subcontractors who are awarded a state contract by requiring them to participate in an apprentice training program compliant with state and federal law, shaping the next generation of trade workers. Workforce development is a critical issue to the construction industry, not only affecting the workforce but is also affecting the individuals and businesses that rely on construction, such as housing development in the Commonwealth.
