This bill modernizes the General Laws to bring the terminology up to date regarding individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. It replaces references to “handicap”/”handicapped” and eliminates any remaining use of the “r-word” terms along with other out of date terminology in 362 separate sections of the MGL.
