This bill establishes a Board of Registration of Licensed Mental Health Counselors within the Bureau of Health Care. The purpose of the board is to oversee the licensure, regulation, and professional standards of mental health counselors practicing in the state to ensure that mental health counselors meet consistent professional standards, protect public welfare, and promote high-quality mental health care.
