This legislation seeks to replace Section 3 of the original act with a new provision. Under this amendment, as consideration for modifying the conservation restriction authorized in Section 1, the town of Hanson would transfer the care, custody, and control of approximately 25.405 acres (identified as assessors’ map 49, parcel 1-1A) and an additional 3,922 square feet (identified as assessors’ map 105, parcel 6) from the board of selectmen to the conservation commission. The purpose of this transfer is to facilitate wildlife preservation, recreation, and forestry
