An Act requiring automatic external defibrillators in Norfolk County public buildings
By Mr. Rush, a petition (accompanied by bill, Senate, No. 1473) of Michael F. Rush that public buildings in Norfolk County under the control of the Norfolk County Commissioners contain automatic external defibrillators and a staff member as an automatic external defibrillator provider. Municipalities and Regional Government.
This legislation would require all public buildings under the supervision of the Norfolk County Commissioners to have at least 1 AED and have during all business hours at least 1 employee or volunteer as an AED provider on premise. This legislation also allows any person to utilize the AED in attempts to render emergency care without being liable for acts or omissions, other than gross negligence or willful or wanton misconduct, resulting from the attempt to render emergency care.
