An Act relative to tobacco harm-reduction

This bill aims to amend Section 28(b) of Chapter 270 of the General Laws concerning tobacco regulation to include tobacco products that receive specific orders from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under U.S.C., chapter 387j or chapter 387k (g). The purpose of this amendment is to synchronize state regulations with federal oversight mechanisms established by the FDA for specific tobacco products. By doing so, the bill seeks to ensure that state laws are consistent with the federal standards and directives regarding tobacco product approval and management.
