This bill grants a COVID-19 essential employee retirement credit bonus to eligible public health and safety workers in Massachusetts. The credit, equal to the length of the state’s COVID-19 emergency (March 10, 2020 – June 15, 2021), can be added to an employee’s age or years of service when calculating retirement benefits.
