This bill proposes an amendment to Section 23 of Chapter 32 of the General Laws, focusing on the selection process for a representative from a public safety union. It stipulates that this representative will be selected from a trio of candidates put forward by the executive board of the Massachusetts Association of Contributory Retirement Systems, Inc. Additionally, the chosen candidate must be part of the state employees’ retirement system, the teachers’ retirement system, or another retirement system that invests in the PRIT Fund.
