Plumbing and gas fitting regulations

Currently, the Board of State Examiners of Plumbers and Gas fitters may make rules and regulations related to the construction, repair, and inspection of plumbing in cities and towns. The board may vary the application of such regulations from town to town based on the petition of a town board of health or health department. This bill would give the board the option to vary these rules and regulations to help the state meet its greenhouse gas emissions limits and sublimits. The bill also gives the board the authority to make, amend, or repeal rules and regulations related to gas fitting in buildings to help the state meet its emissions limits and limits and sublimits.
