This bill introduces several new regulations related to the operation of motorized bicycles, motorized scooters, electric bicycles, and mopeds. It establishes increased fines for violations of Chapter 90 regulations, requires public hearings before any state-funded bike lane infrastructure is constructed, mandates approval from MassAbility or a disabilities commission for Chapter 90-funded bike lanes, establishes a task force to update and enforce new and existing laws, and requires insurance for all commercially used vehicles.
