Military Connected Families

Ensures timely establishment of special education services upon to military-connected students upon relocation and reducing burdens associated with due process by reassigning burden of proof from parents to the districts. Allows military-connected students to open enroll into the district in which their permanent residence will be. Allows Military Protective Orders (MPOs) to be used as admissible evidence to establish a relevant pattern or course of conduct upon a plaintiff filing a complaint for temporary orders. Allows the State to receive jurisdiction from the U.S. over juvenile cases that occur on military installations.
