This bill bans public schools in the Commonwealth from adopting athletic team names, logos, and mascots that refer to Indigenous peoples or cultures and creates a collaborative process through which the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Commission on Indian Affairs will work with schools to phase out any remaining Native American mascots.
