The RAISE act is designed to analyze and address continued disparities in school discipline and educational achievement. It amends the three-year plan to include schools to address disparities in the rates of discipline, including suspensions and expulsions. Districts will also be required to report cross-tabulated data regarding discipline rates and the demographics of those disciplined, including race, gender, and socioeconomic information.
