Enforcing Anti-Bullying policies in our schools

This bill strengthens the enforcement of anti-bullying policies in Massachusetts schools by increasing accountability, parental involvement, and support for schools with high bullying incidents. It mandates quarterly reporting of all bullying cases, prohibits retaliation against those who report or witness bullying, and requires mandatory counseling for both victims and perpetrators. Schools must also educate parents on bullying prevention and reporting. Additionally, the bill establishes an anti-bullying officer pilot program to assign officers to the five schools with the highest reported incidents, ensuring better investigation, response, and prevention efforts. These measures aim to create a safer and more transparent school environment across the Commonwealth.
