Assisted Living Facilities

This legislation requires each assisted living residence to have 24 hour per day coverage of at least one on-site AED provider as well as at least one automated external defibrillator (AED) readily available. A residence cannot prohibit a trained staff member from administering emergency CPR or AED assistance to a resident so long as said resident does not have a documented or clearly visible do not resuscitate order.
