S497 (Governor's Councillor) Summary

Currently, when people vote in elections, the position of governor’s councillor -- a member of the Governor’s Council which approves or disapproves of gubernatorial actions like appointments and pardons -- is listed as “Councillor.” The bill clarifies, on ballots, the position voters are voting on by ensuring that the role is listed as “Governor’s Councillor” rather than “Councillor.”
