This bill would create a grant and zero-interest loan program within the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs to help municipalities and small businesses transition to low-noise and low-emissions landscaping equipment. The funding could be used for equipment purchases, training staff to use the new equipment, and any other costs associated with the transition. The bill would jumpstart the transition to electric landscaping equipment and help make our communities and our air cleaner and healthier.
