This bill reduces the use, sale, and distribution of multiple single-use plastics by regulating their use and availability, including the following: plastic bags, foam and solid polystyrene, plastic straws, balloons, nips, plastic wipes, hotel toiletry, plastic water bottles, and black plastic. The bills also seeks to remove certain beverage containers, food ware, and food ware accessories with toxic substances from being sold or distributed. Each section would be implemented over time so that businesses may have the ability to comply and seek out alternatives, and there exemptions for when there are impossibilities to compliance.
