An Act preventing medical debt by restoring health safety net eligibility levels
By Mr. DiDomenico, a petition (accompanied by bill, Senate, No. 852) of Sal N. DiDomenico for legislation to prevent medical debt by restoring health safety net eligibility levels. Health Care Financing.
This legislation would increase the health safety net eligibility threshold from 300% to 400% of the federal poverty level, increase the threshold for when the health safety net deductible applies to households, and reinstate six months of retroactive coverage under the health safety after receiving medically necessary care. Lastly, the bill requires a convening of a task force to study the financing structure of the Health Safety Net program and recommend improvements.
