Medical debt disproportionately impacts marginalized communities in the commonwealth with non-Hispanic Black residents and non-Hispanic residents of other or multiple races, as well as residents in fair or poor health or with an activity limitation, more likely to have family medical debt. Establishes a uniform system directing data on medical debt to be sent to the center for health information analysis, who will then analyze such data to advise on related policy as well as issue a public report on such information to promote transparency on matters related to medical debt.
