Premium impact statements

This bill would require that, prior to any significant change to healthcare or health insurance regulation, an agency must file with the Secretary of State’s office notice of the proposed change and a statement explaining the potential impact of this change on health insurance premiums. This requirement would also be implemented for any potential legislative change to healthcare or health insurance law in Massachusetts, requiring time for public review of the effects of any change on health insurance premiums.
