NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING (IN-PERSON TESTIMONY BY INVITATION ONLY) on the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home COVID-19 Outbreak with a focus on the Board of Trustees of the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home

Date of Hearing: February 9, 2021

Time: 10 AM

The Special Committee will be holding a public hearing pertaining to the Board of Trustees of the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home, with live testimony (provided virtually) by invitation only.

The hearing will focus on the Board of Trustees of the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home both before and after the March 2020 tragedy. It will examine the composition of the board and required qualifications to serve on the board. It will also examine communication processes between the board, superintendent, and clinical leadership. Finally, the committee seeks feedback on opportunities for families of the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home residents to communicate with the board, the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Veterans’ Services.
