Public Meeting Notice

The public is invited to participate in this virtual hearing of the Commission on Structural Racism in the Massachusetts Probation Service. To register to testify, please provide your contact information via this form by Friday, July 23rd, at 5:00pm. Once registered, you will receive further instructions on how to participate.

The Chairs will limit testimony to 3 minutes per speaker. If you plan to testify as a panel, please note the name(s) of your co-panelist(s) on the form when registering. All panelists listed will need to register individually via the sign-up form.

The Commission’s preference is for written testimony or pre-recorded testimony, which may be submitted to the Commission either through the sign-up form or via email to tobin.abraham@mahouse.gov or michael.carr@masenate.gov.

NOTE: The Commission is studying structural racism and disparities in the treatment of persons of color in the probation process, including in the revocation of probation. Testimony should be focused on this.

This meeting will be available for viewing via livestream on www.malegislature.gov.
