Event Description

Seventh meeting of the PFAS Interagency Task Force to discuss "Solutions and Costs" With testimony from the Testimony from the Governor’s Administration/Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA), The Office of the Attorney General, and Tighe and Bond Environmental Consulting & Engineers.

The PFAS Interagency Task Force will hold its seventh meeting to review and investigate water and ground contamination of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances across the commonwealth on Tuesday, September 21st, 2021. The purpose of this hearing is to examine four components to the solutions available for PFAS contamination: Regulation, Legislation, Litigation, and Remediation and to evaluate the costs associated with remediation strategies.

We will hear from the following testifiers: Bethany Card, Undersecretary for the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (Task Force Member), Andy Goldberg, Assistant Attorney General for the Environmental Protection Division (Task Force Member), and Jeffrey Arps, (LSP) Director, Remediation & Field Services for Tighe & Bond (Task Force Member).

This Task Force meeting will be held virtually and livestreamed for the public via www.malegislature.gov.
