Event Description: Long Term Care: Nursing Facilities and Rest Homes

The Joint Committee on Elder Affairs will hold a public hearing on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 1pm in Room A-1 of the State House with an option for testimony to be offered virtually.

To testify virtually, registration is required in advance. Please complete this form to register before 12 noon on *Friday May 12th* - late registrants may not be accepted. Once registered, you will receive further instructions via email on how to participate in the hearing.

To testify in person, participants are also requested to pre-register via this form; however, same-day registration for in-person testimony will be available to those present in the hearing room.

The Committee will only be accepting testimony on the bills on the agenda.

The Chairs will limit testimony to 3 minutes per speaker. Please be advised that the schedule and agenda are subject to change at the discretion of the chairs. If you plan to testify as a panel, please note the name(s) of your co-panelist(s) on the form when registering. All panelists listed will need to register individually via the sign-up form if testifying remotely. Panels are requested to present themselves as a group either fully in-person or fully remotely.

Written testimony is encouraged and will continue to be accepted after the hearing until the relevant bill is acted upon. Such testimony may be submitted via email to joseph.russo@mahouse.gov and victoria.halal@masenate.gov. Please include "Elder Affairs Committee Testimony, [Relevant Bill Number]" in the subject line of the email.
