Event Description

The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority:A Comprehensive Overview of Diversity Efforts

The purpose of this hearing is to provide a comprehensive overview of diversity efforts along with updates on the progress made this year by the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA). More specifically, the Committee expects to be informed about the reforms the Authority and its board have implemented, the outcomes achieved to date, and the areas where reforms have fallen short or require further action. The Committee also seeks to understand what is required to complete the remaining reforms necessary for the Authority to regain public confidence.

The hearing will not consider allegations of wrongdoing against any singular employee, current or former, of the MCCA.

The public is invited to attend and observe the hearing. However, Oral Testimony is by Invitation Only and will consist of current and former employees in leadership positions from the MCCA.

The hearing will be livestreamed on the General Court's website, https://malegislature.gov/. It will be recorded and posted publicly at the Joint Committee on Racial Equity, Civil Rights, and Inclusion webpage.

Written Testimony may be submitted by any member of the public prior to, or by close of business on Tuesday, January 23, 2026. Testimony should be addressed to House Chair, Bud L.
