Event Description: The purpose of the commission is to make an investigation and study relative to the feasibility of hosting the summer Olympics in 2024. Pursuant to Chapter 1 of the Resolves of 2013, the 11-member commission includes: 2 persons appointed by the president of the senate, 1 person appointed by the minority leader of the senate, 2 persons appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives, 1 person appointed by the minority leader of the house of representatives, 3 persons appointed by the governor (1 of whom shall be a member of the Boston 2024 Organizing Committee, Inc. and 1 of whom shall have experience in public safety or law enforcement), and 2 persons appointed by the mayor of Boston.
