Special Event DetailsAI Ethics Roundtable -- Ethics, Trust, and Innovation: Guardrails for Growth

Video is upcoming

The video for this event will start at 9:30 AM

Artificial intelligence is no longer a future concern. It is already shaping how residents access public services, how students learn, how employers hire, how healthcare is administered, and how institutions make decisions that affect people's lives. On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, Senator Michael Moore will host a cross-sector roundtable at the Massachusetts State House to ask a question that matters now: How do we ensure that as AI accelerates, trust and human judgment remain at the center?

Join Senator Moore for a conversation featuring leaders representing the business community, civil liberties organizations, academia, the public sector, and science policy networks where we will ask the big questions about AI and how we can guide it through regulation for the benefit of all Bay Staters.

The roundtable discussion will feature Massachusetts High Tech Council’s Elizabeth Mahoney, ACLU of Massachusetts’ Gideon Epstein, Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s Yunus Telliel, Executive Office of Technology Services and Security Secretary Jason Snyder, and National Science Policy Network’s Tepring Piquado. Shauna Conway, founder of Human Edge, will serve as moderator and guide the discussion. Senator Moore and Rep Tricia Farley-Bouvier will give opening remarks.
