Representative Kate Hogan is in her sixth term as State Representative for the Third Middlesex District.  Recently named a House Division Leader, a member of Speaker DeLeo’s team, she works as a bridge between House leadership and members to tackle the state’s biggest issues. During her past two terms, Representative Hogan served as House Chair of the Joint Committee on Public Health and a co-chair of the Elder Caucus, where she was instrumental in shepherding landmark public health legislation into law. Prior to her first election in 2008, she spent over 25 years working in the publishing and print industry.  A graduate of UMass Amherst, she is actively involved in her alma mater’s Women into Leadership program, proudly facilitating opportunities for young women to grow as public leaders. As a legislator, Representative Hogan has been a tireless advocate for building our regional economy, enhancing and improving our health care system, and a voice for our elders and most vulnerable. She believes her job is to create consensus, build alliances, and work toward solutions that will benefit her district and improve the quality of life for all citizens in this great Commonwealth.

Leader Hogan is currently serving on the House Covid-19 Working Group evaluating operations, including committee hearing, schedules and formal legislative sessions to ensure that the business of legislating continues without interruption.
